None of Us Can know the Exact Time Which the "Father Has Put in His OWN Power."

Jesus said something to us that we tend to ignore: "It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father has put in His own power." Acts 1:7

The reason for this article is that many DO presume to know the time and season of the Lord's coming. Therefore increasingly, those who hold to the secret rapture (before any persecution of the Western church) are attacking those of us who wish to honestly study the rapture using scripture alone. WE do not attack THOSE brethren, for we realize that they have most likely been subjected to lifelong teaching that believers will be extracted from this world immediately

before we are called upon to share in the sufferings that our brethren in other countries have long been experiencing. (Hebrews 12:4, 13:3)

Honest bible students seek only the truth, rather than simply accepting without question contemporary fiction novels and movies about the time and season of the Lord's coming. Please consider that a plain reading of scripture indicates that there will MOST LIKELY be a single coming of the Lord (Acts 1:7-10, II Thes. 2:1-5). Also, I Thes. 4:15-17 coupled with Rev. 20:4-5 shows us the single resurrection of the righteous dead, followed immediately by the rapture, AFTER the antichrist is in operation on the Earth.

But we don't INSIST on this. We don't insult those with different viewpoints. We look it over, rejoice that it will someday happen, and submit to the Lord's power over the time and season of this event.

What we do is look up, for we see the signs. We know the time is close. But we don't demand that others adhere to a strict chronology of end-time events. Instead, we pray and work with a sense of urgency. We must be found working when the Master returns (Matt.24:45-47) in the time and season which the "Father has put in His OWN power."
